came out from work and my side door window was shattered yesterday.
Anybody ever had to replace one? is it difficult to? I'm assuming that I'll need to remove the small vent window and unbolt the front guide to fit it in but it would great if I didn't have to do that. I have manual windows so at least I don't have to deal with motors and such...
Vent window has to come out; the front guide is a part of it. Pretty much everything inside the door will in order for you to fit the new window in there (or at least it did when I changed my driver window). It's not difficult, but it is time consuming and irritating. Make sure you get the regulator all the way down before you attempt anything with the front guide / vent window. And use a good shop vac to clean out the shattered glass, unless you want to turn your fingers into ribbons.
