Just built a 250 w/high capacity tow pkg vs 350 with payload downgrade to 10000 gvw.
$30 difference in window stickers with identical options.
Is there any actual difference in these trucks with identical builds?
I just put on order a 2019 F250 Crew Cab SWB 4x4 Platinum 6,7L and selected the high cap trailer towing package. The robust Dana M275 rear end caught my eye. I've read where it has 4" axle tubes while the Sterling has 3 1/2". What size block is under the rear axle? If its the same as the regular F250's then theoretically the HCTTP truck would sit 1/4" higher in the rear end. I'm going to level the truck when I get it and contemplating how much lift I need in the front end. I've only seen in person non-HCTTP F250's and I've measured them at 3 1/2 to 3 3/4" of rake. So I was wanting to see what the rake is on these HCTTP versions.

I just measured 3 1/8" difference between front and rear on my 2018 with HCTP. It does sit perfectly level when I hook up a 35' travel trailer.

Correct. The difference between F-250 and F-350 starts at about $1,200. If you go with diesel and then add the $1,100 HD Tow option to the F-250 (only available with diesel), then the price difference is less than a $100. The HD Tow adds the beefier Dana rear axle and ensures a 4-leaf rear spring. And, because it's diesel, the F-250 has already been stepped up to the 6R140 transmission. F-350s have 5 leaves in the rear and that's the only difference left at that point ... other than the stickers and lower specs (such as payload and GVWR).
Also, I messaged a couple of dealers today who have the HCTTP F250 on the their lots and both responded saying their respective trucks have 3" of rake. Which is less than the typical F250 w/o the HCTTP that I've personally measured. Makes me wonder if the HCTTP F250 also has higher capacity front springs, like say those used on a F350??? IDK for sure as this is only speculation on my part at this point unless anyone else can shed some light. Anyone have front spring specifications?
