As far as paint color you could paint it any color - with Palomino seats it would sort of discount some colors as far as I've seen. Black and Blue trucks would have gotten black buckets and White and/or Red trucks would have gotten red. I have not seen one so far that was not color keyed despite many being special order. Again, likely exceptions as with anything but some people would have a harder time believing certain colors. Still, feel free to paint it any color, just pointing out that Ford even still had some limits documented so that they didn't have a complete free-for-all.

Here's a page concerning 1964 but it shows all of the swatches of seat material and what paint codes were available with which. Both Standard and Custom Cab. I don't have this same information for 1965 or 1966 but I'm sure it was documented, too.

Ooooh Chad sorry to remind you that you are colour blind. I agree with Eric that it is a faded red. Could be signal red which is a bit orangey however, it definitely is not Colorado plow truck orange.

As for the Ranger package Chad has pointed out that brochure pic many times. I read the asterisk after the words Ranger package and then right below the options the asterisk is defined. The bucket seats appear optional and the console is optional from what I read. It is a nice truck OP and be happy you have it.

p.s. Chad it appears your trucks are numbers matching with all those grease markings lol

I sure am somewhat color blind. But, also reading that other thread about that T850 he talks about CDOT and working around the boulder area, which I assumed to be Boulder, CO. And the markings on the doors look interesting. But, yeah, colors are not my strong suit, if I have one.

Anyway, it indicates it was a blank color code and yet is a two digit DSO which I found to be interesting.

Chad,
Just compared the two center console pics to the floor and it most certainly would be the one on the table.
Picked up two 1965 mustang bucket seats in Colfax yesterday. What a snowy mess over there because of drifts.
In regards to color, going with Palamino vinyl interior and Prairie Bronze exterior. Would assume this would have been acceptable combo back in the day and meet warranty plate.

TMI is a good brand and used by a lot of people. They are not the only ones, but it's one of them. They come with the hard seat back cover, too, but no clips on those so you'd either use some from the old ones or get some new ones. Mustang stuff is all reproduced, luckily.

https://www.tmiproducts.com/mustang/...ket-seats.html

You can select Front only and Coupe and Palomino at that link.

If you want new foams I can say ACI in Shelton, WA has a great reputation.

65-66 STD Mustang ? American Cushion Industries, Inc

SMS Fabrics is one possibility for the carpets. They can send you samples of materials. They could also make the seat covers or source just the material but since the 1965 Mustang standard seat covers are so readily available it doesn't make much sense in my opinion to not just buy the pre-made ones.

https://smsautofabrics.com/

They even make the correct screws for the seat tracks if you need them.

Thanks Chad, I will check out those links on interior carpet and covers. The other fun ones to source will be the correct armrests and zippered door pocket.
Got the seats in to check for fitment and they went in nicely.
The dash pad is black and my hunch is that it's stock. Do you think with the H81 code it should be the palomino color making this black one a replacement?

No.
The padded dash was only available in black, the same one was used 1965/66 on all F100/1100's.

The armrests are the same: 1959 Ford Fairlane/Galaxie, 1960/63 Falcon/Comet, 1961/66 F100/1100, 1963/69 N/NT500/1100, 1967/69 F800/1000.

I think the armrests are reproduced, but only in black, the right side is different than the left side.

The door pockets are reproduced by Bob Drake (located in Grants Pass OR), the moulding that surrounds the pockets are also repro'd by Drake, but are metal. The originals were chromed plastic.

The Mustang bucket seat upholstery (same as Ranger, except with 'running horse' on backrest) has been reproduced for over 40 years and is EZ to find.

The "hockey stick" mouldings on the outside of the seats are also reproduced.

The marks on the firewall and etc body panels were made by inspectors, the letters/numbers identified each one.

I don't know who is reproducing them but the pair of door pockets I bought have chromed plastic surrounds. They're only available in black and the zippers are plastic whereas the originals were brass.

Just want to confirm this is the proper hood emblem for a 65 f100 Custom Cab?
We will be taking the "100" out and replacing with "Ranger"

No, it would be oval shaped and says "FORD 100" over the top.
The ones that say FORD over top and 100 underneath are 1966.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=1965+f100 +fender+emblem&_sacat=0

The one you show is correct for 1965 F100 4x4 and earlier years.

No!
This is a hood side emblem for 1963/64, or front fender emblem on 1965 F100 4WD (not available as a Ranger).

Separate: Custom Cab nameplates on the doors or 1963/66 Custom Cab door handle guards.

1965 chrome front fender emblems have FORD 100 or 250 above with TWIN-I-BEAM or CAMPER SPECIAL or Ranger plastic inserts.

Lower pic in post #132: 1966 chrome front fender emblems have FORD above, 100 or 250 below encompassed within the emblem with FOUR WHEEL DRIVE (F100) or TWIN-I-BEAM or CAMPER SPECIAL or Ranger plastic inserts.

There's a gazillion examples of these emblems pictured on trucks in this forum, open your peepers and take a look-see.

1965 F100 2WD would be like this one.
