As I looked closer what appears to be Navajo Beige is only on steering column. Thought there was some on tailgate but now believe that to be primer. There is about a 2" x 2" piece of the color that is similar to inside of door.

We will check out the Carolina Classics site. Is there any of those 65 catalog sites to avoid?

The AM radio lights up when turned on. But the antenna and speaker are not hooked up so not sure if it works.

The dash pad has a crack in it so assuming that's why PO put pad on it.

81B is a Custom Cab, but with bucket seats, it's a Custom Cab with the Ranger package.

Ranger package was only available on F100/250's with Custom Cab package, it was not available on Standard Cabs (81A).

Now that I am on a real computer I can see the colours alot better. The firewall is likely original colour as would likely be under the carpet and behind the gas tank. You might be able to take a paint scrape into a paint shop and get it scanned to match. Since you are looking to be more of a concours restoration the valve/tappet covers should be gold with a black block... Nice find and the fabric on the bench is a nice colour that fits. Also of note my eagle eye sees a lack of a winshield squirter above the ignition switch. You maybe have the much talked about foot pump bellows.

There are no jets in the hood so this truck probably had no windshield washer system at all.

If you look back at post #23 I did provide a portion of that same page showing the decodes, but thanks for posting that.

Also, Ranger - wasn't all about the Bucket Seats. You can see what the salesmen at Ford were being instructed.

Bucket Seats were optional but did require Custom Cab. Ranger package consisted of Carpeting, Gas Tank Cover, Ranger Emblem (when not used on Camper Special) and is Color-keyed in Red, Parchment or Black.

You can see for yourself.

So what we have is 1965 f100 Ranger with buckets in Palamino Crinkle. My strong suspicion is no center console.

There are no windshield sprayers just wipers. Maybe not unusual request for California?

As for color, steering column Navajo Beige, secondary color Wimbleton White, primary color TBD. As for primary, firewall, doors and door jambs and small splotch left on tailgate all look the same so will assume they are primary. Anybody care to guess what color that is?

Are there parts sources that put out good quality reproductions? TA mentioned Carolina Classics. Anywhere else?
On a related note, you can see on last picture posted the white door panels. There is 1 piece of chrome in picture which I'm guessing wraps the white panel. That 1 piece is all we have. How tough is it to find a replacement set?

TA, did see your H81 chart earlier. Anyone know on that chart what the 7 7 24 on right mean? My guess on the 24 is a cardboard/board like material with perforated holes in it as that what's in it and still in pretty good shape.

Yes, they are Swatch Identification Numbers. I think ND said he has a page of the swatches but if so I don't recall what year(s)

First 7 is the seat Bolster, second 7 is seat Cushion and Back and the 24 is the headlining material.

24 = perforated material - used on Custom Cab

Headliner Kit | Dennis Carpenter Ford Restoration Parts

25 = non-perforated material - used on Standard Cab

Headliner Kit | Dennis Carpenter Ford Restoration Parts

Dennis Carpenter is another good one that makes a lot of their own stuff. Sounds like a great big place in North Carolina. I wouldn't mind a tour of that place. Sounds like lots of original Ford tooling that they have aquired.
