Recently Installed front passenger abs speed sensor, since it had gotten damaged by hub bearing going bad,, and damaged sensor. All is fixed, but abs light wont go out. Does it take time for computers to reset.. I've tried disconnecting battery and some others ways, but still on. I barely have 2 days replacing
why did you replace the sensor separate ? Should have a new sensor in the NEW bearing ? Make sure you didn't bend the pins inside the connector to the main harness..........
turn on the key and the light comes on.. computer checks continuity thru the wire/ sensor .. then goes out after 3 seconds... If light don't go out, one of the sensors is bad or not plugged in........ after you start moving, the computer checks sensor output at about 5 mph.. If no output, the light comes back on......... when does your light come on ?
Hello Steve, replaced hub bearing, and replaced speed sensor as well ,, since bad bearings ate away sensor, with the off balance hub. I barely have two days replacement, does it take time for PC to reset
good advice I do that. I'll get with you later if it solved the problem. Thanks for your deeds. I appreciate you
ok found the problem, thanks for your advice. Took it to autozone, and it scanned coded rear abs sensor bad, after looking it up on you tube, and this part is funny, it dawned on me , once I knew location of sensor, that I had couple dogs, that slept under my truck, boredom set in, and they chewed up my wire to some other stuff, but fixed, never realized they chewed up wire to rear abs senor. I wired nut wires, flipped truck on, light is gone. And fyi, those dogs are gone as well, they have been for 3 months already. Thanks for feeds my friends.

If you mean you used a wire nut to connect the wires, you need to go back and repair with either a butt splice or solder the wires back together. A wire nut like you would use in a house should never be used on automotive wiring.
