Steve,Thanks for your input on my question about rear hub bearings on my 05 explorer. Do you know where I can find info on what vehicles received replacement parts inside of the rear transfer case. IE service notice, ect. I was told today that I needed some rear end work done and the Ford dealer claims that some of the work was done in 2015. I am just trying to understand what was done before and if the new problem is related Thanks, mcmuria

steve, if you did not see the original post I have only this year learned our 2000 truck with v6 may have a intake gasket issue. truck has 203,000 miles and no real problems to date. do you advise replacing the gaskets or drive on with fingers crossed?

What is the procedure for refilling after I drained both? If I do drain the pan and then the converter and then add 5 quarts back into the pan since that's all it holds, how do I get the other 8 quarts in. I assume I'll have to start the engine to pump the fluid thru the tranny but how long do I let the engine run before filling it again or do I add the fluid while it's running? Will this damage anything in the converter or tranny running the engine when the converter is 8 quarts low? Thanks again for the tip and I hope you can advise me on this since I've never done it before.
