If you would post there and then edit this post so we don't clutter up this thread.
Then I will clean up my post also.
My truck has started starting a little more cranky lately. Just wondering if a bad glow plugs(s) would throw a code? I am pretty sure it would but when I checked a few days ago I had only an egr code that seems to come and go.
The truck also seems to be cranking a bit slower then normal so I will probably go through all my battery connections soon and clean them up.
Thanks
I have a 2007 F350 6.0l and my CEL illuminated for glow plug #2(p0672). The glow plug icon still illuminates during the main cycle or wait-to-start cycle and the glow plug icon goes off when they go into the secondary cycle. The batteries need to been in really good condition because the "main glow plug cycle" draws a considerable load while the preheat glow plug icon is illuminated.
The glow plugs can stay on even after the little pig tail light (wait to start light) goes out.
As I recall the on cycle can be as long as 120 seconds with part of that with the engine running.
The on time during run has something to do with emissions.
