Not sure, but back when we had a MAP sensor the PCM would grab the absolute pressure as soon as the key was on.
But I think everything now has a MAF sensor, so baro pressure is probably no longer critical. (Not sure how the EcoBoost measures air flow and boost pressure).

This is on a 2004 F150 with a 5.4L 3v engine. I've seen several videos from FordtechmakuLoco and he uses the Baro reading quite a bit on the '04 through the newest Fords , so it has to be available. The question is, how do we get the Torque app to display it?
Barometer (on Android device)
Barometric pressure (from vehicle)
Looks like you should be able to compare the two?
(Hopefully the TP expert will be along shortly).
Yeah, I get the same options - on Android or from vehicle. Neither work though . However, I did add them while the app was connected to the truck. According to your last post, that may affect if the PID works or not. I'll remove it and then set it up "off line" to see if that works.
Yes. Go to >Settings >Manage Sensors and Custom PIDs >Add Sensor, answer YES to continue (even if you screw up -warning), and add a custom PID using the parameters above, press OK.
Then long tap on any dashboard where you want to place the Baro guage, >Select a 'Digital Gauge', >scroll through sensors and find the one you added "Barometric Pressure", and position it where you want. Long tap on that new digital gauge and >change configuration, >set number of decimals - to Two.

Being that I live a few towns over from you I suspect that our barometric pressure reading should be the same. I'm at 151.6 after a KAM reset and new MAF.
