Who knows what the differences are, and why so many apparent variances ...........
They all say they will all fit a 2005 F250 Lariat Super Duty 6.0L.
Just posting a caution that there may be subtle differences.
Mid and aft might indicate vehicles that had two tanks. I know when I searched on FPG using the part number the software kept changing to a different tank saying this was correct for my VIN number which is registered on the site.
I didn't drop the tank I lifted the bed and when I looked in the tank it appeared full!!
When you cleaned it how did the board look? If it was like mine there might be a lot of reddish looking
crap that cleaned off. I also found a lot under the wiper tip too. I guess I really should make a how to
clean video.
One thing you might try is wrecking yards like to drain the fuel from the tanks of things that are coming it.
I have seen more than one float and sensor assembly sitting in the back of a truck. I think one I picked
up as an extra to have one hand was less than $30 with some other items I also picked that day. Take your
meter with you and if you see one sitting in the bed (they tend to toss them there) grab it and check to see
if the reisitance mover with the float and is smooth and even. There is a base resistance and I have to check
on what that is. If I am reading this correctly 160 Ω is full and 15 Ω is empty. I might have that backwards.
The workshop manual is.unclear on what is what.
I went and checked the one I have and it was 50Ω Empty and 195 Full But I also was doing at full range for empty and full.
So your numbers will likely not be the same and that unit I tested was a used one that sat in the rain and rust.
It has not been cleaned as of yet.
Hope that helps you.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Stupid fast food place poisoned me tonight with a non diet drink and
for some reason I did not notice the taste until after my blood sugar
was already on it's way into orbit.
Can someone tell me why in the (HE double toothpick) I should pay some burger flipper $15 an hour.
Now I get to not feel well all the rest of the night. ****!
