I can't refrain any longer...I just gots to know...you guys who whip your steering around with one finger while your big heavy truck is sitting still...do you find yourselves feeding your trucks ball joints and tie rod ends?
Must be a 4x4 thing, the work trucks that are 2wd you can have the brake pedeal smashed standing still and you can turn the steering wheel with one finger, the 4x4 one's its impossible, you kind of have to tap the throttle a little bit to get the wheels to turn.
Dont overlook you PS pressure hoses, we had an 08 Ram 2500 6.7 at work that the pressure hose would collape and made steering non existing.
Byron, any updates on this? Have you had time to look further into the issue and maybe identify the cause?
Hey guys, sorry to just be be getting back to this. It's been crazy the last few days. I haven't had time to do anything but pop the cap and determine I need new pump, minimum. When turning the steering wheel, the fluid has no turbulence and doesn't really go down that I can see. But, the odd thing is that my steering has gone back to normal since Sunday. It's been easy to turn and no noise, which leads me to believe the pump is acting up. I'm not fooled though. I know I am on borrowed time, so I'll probably tackle the pump and a flush next week when I have some down time again.
