Whining when turning Steering wheel.

Hey yall,
So at low speeds or sitting still my truck has started whining ALOT when I turn the wheel or press on the brake pedel hard. Im pretty sure its the power steering pump. Does that sound like the culprit to you? THe noise definatly changes speed and volume when I pump the brake or turn the steering wheel.

Sounds like the pwr steering pump is low on fluid & had air in the sys,,,,,,,,, hopefully the pump itself isnt shot.

I suggest flushing the pump with synthetic ATF...do a search for flushing power steering pump.

Does pushing on the brakes affect the power steering pump as well? When I press on the brakes it makes the same noise too.

The brake booster is a hydoboost sys which is powered by pressure from the pwr steering pump, so yes.
