hey guys yesterday i went out and bought the AFE intake box, the power edge juice module, 3.5" down pipe, to match up to my already full 3.5" exhaust... let me tell you how awsome that module is, in the 75hp mode it will set you back in your set no problem, i switched it to the 100 hp setting and power braked it alitttle and as soon as i came off the light the tires broke loose all the way through second gear(the whole intersection), you should have seenthe smile on my face knowing that this big ol' truck will wipe up on some of these guys with mustangs... hahah this is great i am going right now in to the shop to install the down pipe for more power.. wish me luck
Dirty Diesel
I also have the juice module and your right what a rocket it was raining here yesterday and I had to turn down to the 50hp setting I was going about 30 mph and jumped on it and it just spun my 315/75/16 tires. I have not changed my down pipe yet which one did you get for yours.
Don
hey guys,
The downpipe i run is a 3.5" custom one off, nothing special except that it is loud as hell, when the rig idles it sounds like a helicopter. The airfilter is a replacement that replaces the stock filter yet retains all factory piping. The chip really hauls now with the bigger downpipe. The 50hp setting is truly fast enough when you really wanna hot rod just click it to 70, and have fun... later
I dont see anybody talking about Bully Dog ?
I have their 4" exhaust- turbo back - happy with that.
Was thinking about putting on chip but waitting for all the bugs to go away first.[on 6.0]
Any buddy got anything on bullydog? good or bad?
I am wondering if any of the "chips" fix some of the problems with the 6.0?
Mine runs good but I get the occasional surging idle and a vibration that pulses during idle. It kinda feels like a a/c compressor kicking on and off every 20 secs. Milage around the city is about 13mpg. I was hoping for more.
I have a fuel injected Harley that because of emissions runs extremely lean in its factory condition. As soon as any mods like pipes K&N airfilter are done you must reprogram the EFI. I use a K&N Power Commander to custom tune it.
Anyone with experience with "Chips", "Modules", "Tuners" please advise. Do you think some of the problems are due to the Mo Co trying to meet strick emissions standards? One mechanic told me it was a good motor until Ford put all their emissions stuff on it.

Nope, all I know is that its a good manufacturer you're dealing with.
my old man got a edge module for his 04' excursion and he loves it. He also added a AFE filter element. I heard that edge is coming out with the monitor and it has a extras program for extra 160hp???
Heard from a tech at Superchips that they have a mod in the works. They are waiting to let Ford finish "tweaking" the ECM and then they will release their version of a programmer. They estimate that they might release something as early as (but no earlier than) the end of 2003. Not much time left for anything BUT the end of the year.
Personally, I hope they do more than the "programmers" that are presently on the market. They are just faking out the computer. I am hoping that Superchips will do something with boost, etc.
I was ready to order an Edge Juice Module and Edge Attitude Controller today. I called Edge to get the lowdown on the latest version.
They just shipped the latest version (2.2) Edge Modules to retailers about one week ago. They have not hit the streets yet. This is the version you need to work with the new Attitude Monitor. Earlier versions require an upgrade.
The Attitude Monitors HAVE NOT been released yet and they are not sure when it will be.
I will wait until the version 2.2 hit the shelves and get it. Then I will add the Attitude Monitor when it becomes available.
