i am looking for someone who is willing to sell there f-5 to upgrade to the f-6. my question is 1. is there anyone wanting to yet and 2. can the chip be put in any computer or will it have to be sent off for reprogramming? do they charge for reprogramming everytime you send it to them? if so whats the charge?
also with the f-6, is the bottom line price 399 plus $45 for every program? i thought you can program it yourself?
There is a few members that have there DP tuners for sell Strokin_it7.3(kris) had a couple for sell. If its just a standard tune for a regular lightly modified truck you shouldn't need to get it reburnt. But if it has Injector tunes, Tranmission tunes, BO tunes you will have to get it reburnt. I belive reburns go for about 25-35 dollars each maybe I cannot remember. Also if the truck is a 99 or 00 I believe the PCM code is different. Also you cannot make your own tunes on the F6 its just the ability to e-mail the tunes to your chip instead of having to send it back and have it reburnt.
If you both have 02 or 03 autos, it should work. If he has an 01 or older, or a standard, you'll probably have to send it in to get reburned. Check your PCM codes to make sure. Your '02 is likely a VDH2...
