Okay, got the new fobs that Sous recommended. Went out to my truck which has been parked in drive untouched for a week with a bed full of mulch, maybe it's related. For ****s & giggles I press the unlock button on my old fob which has never worked after sitting for days in 8 years, and the door unlocks. Get inside, and go through the programming procedure, get all three fobs set, old + 2 new ones, and test each one. All good. Get out to lock the truck and go in for dinner, press lock, and both door lock solenoids stop working. The solenoids buzz loudly, but neither lock works.
I hate you guys, it's all your fault! Now where's that door lock actuator thread I just saw posted...
Surprised to see that you could program 5 fobs. All of the notes I have seen say 4 fobs max.
Only three fobs total, the old one and the two new ones. I had the truck learn all three as I believe when you start the learning program, the car/truck unlearns all previous fobs.
Well, it appears you are getting closer to having the issues resolved. I had to replace the actuators in my doors as well when I bought the truck. That was one of the very first things I fixed after driving it home.
Keep us posted on if the new ones continue to work after being isolated from the truck.

That is true. When you enter the fob programming it starts from scratch every time.

Yeah I had to figure that one out on my own when I programmed a new one a few years back then got pissed when the original wouldn't work anymore. Then reprogrammed the original and the new one wouldn't work anymore. I think I scared the neighbor kids at that point but got it figured out eventually.
