$2.99 is what it is at the corner store down the street. There is not a flying J or Pilot anywhere close to my house! I am figuring 326 miles at 8 miles to a gallon I would need 40 plus gallons one way to make it to Panama City I may need to get more than just 200 dollars worth of fuel! I am wondering if I fill it up can I make the whole round trip on one tank, won't know for sure till we do it.

Getting the windshield replaced today !! One less thing to worry about and off the to do list before we head to the beach. A little over 4 weeks to do a service on the engine and make sure everything is good to go before we make our first long road trip. I am suppose to hear something today on the job I interviewed for last week. I finally interviewed last week for the teaching position at work that I applied for over 3 months ago, but have not heard anything on that one either.

New windshield is in!!
Filled the fuel tank while I was down at the store after getting the glass installed, 66 gallons and 198 dollars later....ouch. It went from 1/4 to full so I figure it has a 100 gallon tank. With a full tank I should be able to go round trip to the beach and back with no problem.

You should keep it fuel. A less than full diesel tank that sits is a breeding ground for algae. As it sits the empty area sweats and water goes to the bottom. Then the sides are moist, warm and in the dark.

That why you carry extra fuel filters and a gallon of fuel and filter wrench. If the alge gets real bad you will have to treat it with a special algecide. Water can really messup injectors especially the high pressure ones. Trucks and equipment not as bad because it does not sit around for months

So if Case offers you the job and Yancey offers you that position which one you going to take? It looks like your time on the floor is limited

Case called yesterday afternoon and they still want me in a supervisor role somewhere but want to hold off for 3 to 6 months to get the store established first. The original plan was to bring me on and work as a mechanic and go to the field to fix stuff but I have almost zero experience on skid steers. As the store grew move me more into a mechanic supervisor role. They are going to have the parts person dual hatting as parts and rental person. When they feel it's the right time move me in as either the rental or mechanic supervisor. So it's not a yes right now but it's not a no either. I would take the teaching job if they offered but would not be heart broken if they didn't.

It's Friday!!
Got a few things arriving today from amazon. I bought a super long charging cord for my tablet since I use google maps on the road. I have a long aux cable to try and get the TV to play thru the radio going going down the road. I have an 8 inch extension for the scooter rack as the 18 inch sticks pretty far out. I ordered a collapsible wagon to shuttle little man and gear back and forth from the beach. I reserved a space at the camp ground lat night, spot is close to the pool and the playground. Going to try and service the engine this weekend if I don't get rained out.

You tablet may still die. Gps use a lot of power.
tsc has some extentions the maybe to short.

I move more dirt today. Yesterday I noticed the driveway turned betwen the creek and the hill. The tree is i. The middle of where the driveway should be.

did you but the Fleetguard filter? They jack the price up. I use WIX 7 x 14 = 98. So you not too far off

The pucker factor has gone from 3 to a out 1.5 going up the hill . Still high pushing dirt down one part to the right of the tree

I only use the tablet when I am not sure of where I am going, I used it from Jacksonville to home after the cruise and it did great and never died.
I will have to look at the receipt for exactly the price for each one. We did have a fleetguard in stock at work, no CAT or donaldson filter. I think the 5 gallon bucket of 15/40 was around 58 dollars. I got an employee discount so that helped a good bit.

The property is looking good! I mowed the front yard before it started to drizzle so I got a little ahead for the weekend. Not too bad mowing this weekend since I don't mow everything every week. I mow around the house and down by the road every weekend, the rest of the property about every 3 or 4 weeks.

the tablet that I had problems with was a 12 inch had lots of problems with it.
When I got home today had a pallet in the yard. The gearbox for the bushhog was here. So if it not too wet tommorow We get it back together. I need to build a ballest box.

The 8 inch extension I got for the scooter rack is going to work out much better than the 18 inch I originally bought. I tested out using my hands free device and an aux cord from the earphone jack on the TV so I am able to play the front TV sound thru the radio, that's going to work great going down the highway. Wife informed me the oil change light came on in the Hummer so yesterday I stopped and got oil and a filter for it on the way home.

So you can listen to tv while driving will it not be tempting to "glance over at the tv"? Can yo send the 18 inch back? Glad you mentioned that I got to find my 2 inch ball to pick up the sawmill.
Went out to the land today put another trailer jack on the trailer. Put the bushhog back together. Almost got stuck where I had been moving dirt. My neighbor drove his 4x4 truck over he was sliding also

I don't think I will be tempted to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while driving, I think I can almost recite the words to most of them already!! I got the oil and filter changed in the Hummer, replaced the back brake pads changed on the 4 wheeler. I changed the oil and filter, the fuel filters and the coolant filter in the motorhome. I installed all new fleetguard filters. I also checked and filled the house batteries. I just need a new belt for the engine and I think we will be all set.

Did you get extra fuel filters? Rock may have the belt. You may want to change tensioner while you have the belt off. The sound thru the radio is for your son. The way I read thought you want to hear tv while driving
