Carbon and moisture (water, not fuel or oil) is a bad combination.
If the carbon showed up as little ***** or chunks (typically the chunks themselves are dry), it is even more indicative of a cooler leak.
It is not common for a new valve to have the P1335 code.

Hopefully this isn't your issue, but you should be aware of the possibility.

I think you're heading me in the right direction, the truck is losing coolant and I was trying to find out where the leak was coming from . At first I thought it was just condensation from the A/C until I checked the reservoir and it was low.I have a pretty good leak and it appears to be coming from just above the starter

Looks like an EGR delete is in order. Fortunately even I could do it with only instruction from youtube videos with no prior experience.
I bought a kit like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-6-0L-E...elete+6.0.TRS0
Didn't use the block off kit, seemed pointless. Kept the EGR valve, just left it in so I would have a place to put the harness into. Can help avoid a CEL for the sensor as well.

I am certainly not trying to talk you into an EGR cooler leak, but diagnosis over the internet is not easy and symptoms/issues/solutions are not the same for everyone. Just wanted to inform and suggest further monitoring.
That said, an EGR cooler leak will leak internally, not externally.
If you see an external leak, that would be a separate issue, In the location you describe, it could be the EGR hose off of the EGR cooler, or a leaking block plug, or even a heater hose.
The easiest way to track it down, IMO anyway, would be to take off the Charge Air Cooler boots and pipe and pressure up the degas bottle to 15 psi. Do this by using the small hose from the radiator and teeing into it w/ a hose from a small compressor with a known good pressure gauge also attached.
