You might want to check out spiral or auger style insert. I have used them to great effect on several cars. I don't know for a fact it comes in a 4" version but I would be surprised if it didn't.

I saw them when I was searching for mufflers online. I had never used them or knew anyone that did.

This is what I done. I moved the aeroturbin muffler forward and added a hushmuffler just before the rear differential. The results are good. Not where I would like to be but good. In the stock tune ,60 mph the sound meter app on my phone is 72 DB. In the 80 tune at 60 mph the sound meter is at 75DB. I exhaust drone is now gone. I wish I had a before reading but I do not. It is much improved.

I just removed my muffler and replaced it with a straight pipe. But my system with muffler is a Magnaflow, it was pretty mellow when I had the muffler on. These engines are loud and in my opinion there's not much can be done. These trucks aren't quiet.
