Muffler delete or Not?

I have a striaght flow threw muffler right now and I was wondering if a muffler delete would do anything but make it louder. Thanks

If you paid the money for the system you might as well keep it.When it goes south than delete It.

That depends on the muffler you got now,mine wasn't that much louder, if any.

I deleted my mufler and it was actually quiter, with the exception of the turbo wistle, its alot louder. I like it.

I didn't like the brapp brapp sound the muffler delete brought on. I also didnt like the slight drone in the cab while under load at around 2000rpm. So i will be installing a muffler soon.

get the delete pipe and do it if you dont like it put your muffler back on! straight pipe or bust here!lol

Ucan is right on with my situation too. Gets loud when I get on it. And the drone even at idle is sometimes bothersome. I have the Garret BB 38r Turbo and stage 3-Injectors.and custom chip, So when I get on it, It gets real loud. But I like it. If you want a quiet ride, don't do it. I've added so many mods to mine that the muffler delete is kind of a neccesity in the effort to keep the EGT's down. If you click on the link below, I have acouple of video clips that you can listen too. It'll give yah get an idea of what your truck will sound like when you hammer down. Make sure to turn the volume up on the clip before playing it. Country

Thankyou. Gets a good rapping sound with out the muffler. Have you heard a 6.0 with the muffler delete? They sound better than any other diesel out there! Just beautiful. Country

I have a silverline 4" SS exhaust and I did the muffler delete. The sound is OK as long as there is no one next to you (right hand side) while you have the windows open. If I go WOT and someone is next to me or there is a fence, I get all the sound back in my ear. I'm deaf enough already from the wife in the passenger seat, so eventually I will be placing the muffler back on eventually (On the truck, not the wife).

Other than that, the sound is OK, nice whistle and lower tone... Just can get loud at times..

yeah i dont go on any long trips its just mainly around town and my go fast toy. so the drone dont bother me
