Here in San Antonio TX, I have my tailgate down to just the shell, and my top has been off so that I dont pass out due to the exhaust fumes. It seems like its been raining on and off for a week or more, and it just rained for the whole weekend. I am tired of rain, this is suppossed to be olmost a dessert, We texas boys are not used to this crap.

From: I'm lost somewhere in NJ -- can someone please find me?!?!?!?
Hurricane Isa
Dang it, I had the generator ready, plenty of gas to keep myself running for days (was even ready to tap the F-250's full 38 gallon tank if necessary). Vital electrical appliances identified and incorporated into action plan, with enough heavy duty extension cords for them all. Sump pump to keep the house dry, refrigerator to keep the beer cold, TV to provide entertainment, and a few lamps. Even thought of keeping one of the lower wattage landscape lights running, just to brag. BRING IT ON, ISABEL!!! I CAN TAKE YOU!!! (I screamed into the night).
Then wouldn't ya' know, Isabel disappointed me. Our power never went out. Other than some rain and a few twigs on the ground from the wind, it was just another day. Call me crazy, but I was disappointed.
On Edit: How the heck did I wind up in the Big Bronco forum? I think I took a wrong turn somewhere and got lost...
Power lines in the road in front of the house. Bocked in by downed trees for two days after storm. Sewer running into storm drains. Yard pretty much cleaned up. Probable looking at another week minimum before getting power. Waking up to the sound of generators and chainsaws and the smell of sewage. Have running water and can flush the toilet. Holes in roof patched. 80 lawn bags of debris ready to go to the dump. I have a pile of limbs 8' X 8' X 30'. Some ice would be nice.
