I have Clay's Boost fooler installed. I also have PHP Gearhead tunes. GTP 38R turbo with bellowed up pipes and Stock wheel. Other upgrades too. After installed GTP 38R and up pipes, I installed Hydra chip. Stock wheel and injectors. After Hydra install, truck threw 1211 code about the HPOP.
After install, I towed my 10K lb. 5th wheel last Sept. up two 6% grades at 5,000 and 8,000 ft altitude, still throwing the 1211 code about the HPOP. Went on up to Idaho, and had to clear the code multiple times.
Decided enough was enough. Installed the boost fooler, and romped on it empty here in town. No code. !!
Taking the 5th wheel up to Bishop and Mammoth up a 6% 8 mile grade to about 5,000 ft elevation. Bet I get no code, but will let you know.
That P1211 code is due to the 4.5ms injection pulse width commanded by those server tunes. Here’s a screenshot from the last time we logged a run in your truck. FIPW is high, IPRDC is high, and ICP is in the weeds.
Just to top things off i ordered a php hydra with 1023 tunes from dusty ...... which i am waiting ever so patiently for haha!. Can't seem to get a hold of them after i ordered it last week. anyone know how long it takes to get stuff from 1023?? i just don't know if i am looking at a week.... a month?? Definitely looking forward to see the difference from DP. Hope i am not dissapointed but doubt i will be as i have heard a lot of good things about their tunes
i talked with a guy last week that ordered from 1023 also. He said he talked with Dusty and he’s swamped so it would take at least 2 weeks before he would get his tunes.
About a month ago I was speaking with Dusty on the phone and he had mentioned he had not slept in almost 3 days. I told him that I know I am just some random stranger on the phone and the I know he needed to run a business, but don't keep that schedule up too long or it would bite him.
He is doing what he can to get things going. Being too busy with work and customers is a good thing for business owners, but it is also a fine line.
In my opinion, Clay at RiffRaff is trusting enough of Dusty at 1023 and that was good enough for me to give their tunes a try. It is kind of like being a friend of a friend if that makes sense.
