since it does the same noise when revved up on Park, I believe it is not related to the transmission. Just 2 options left, torque converter and the engine.
I am trying to figure out if TC stays engaged at all times or just when I put it on Drive. Once/if I can figure that out, it will lower the possibilities just to the engine which I am 'little' better working on. I can at least change the spark plugs/wires/coils if needed.
The torque converter is attached to the flexplate which is attached to the crankshaft. This means the torque converter is spinning whenever the engine is cranking or running.

As mentioned above the torque converter is ALWAYS engaged. There is also a clutch inside the torque converter, but that doesn't engage until approximately 40 MPH.
