I have the build sheet I just want to know how to decode it.
We talked about this before on here. No one knows all the cryptic codes that the factory used on the assembly line for these trucks. But if someone wanted to make a project out of it, they could. It would take a lot of time and effort though.
Someone did this for the old Chevrolet Impalas. There are a few people who started a project documenting old original impala's with their original build sheets. They started making records of what the build sheet said, and how the car was actually optioned. Over time they figured it all out and now if you pay them a little money they can decode your build sheet.
You could do that for these trucks, but no one has stepped up to take the time. If you had many many people scan in their build sheets, and then also the info on their trucks as to what options they came with, you could also get a database going and figure what all the codes mean. Having the build sheet and then having that sheet from Ford that I had in the link above would probably be all you need for each truck. Probably after 30 or so trucks would be be able to zero in on a lot of it.
Ok. My truck has an H for the trailer tow and handling package, and I just wanted to know what level they were, because the truck has a tod transmission and 3.00:1 axle ratio and I didn't think you could get those in the same package.
The way I see it he just make the part (bumper) better as it is on a Ford!
I was checking Craig List for Raleigh/Durham NC and there was a (edit) style side that had a different bumper.
It is like the one on the new members truck from down under, did not look to made in the picture.
