1964 F100 Stylside I am restoring has a steel bumper on the back that has the name of the dealership stamped in it. Was there any particular color silver that those bumpers were painted. I would like to get it as close to oe if there was a color for that. Thanks WDMACK

Rear bumpers were either a factory installed option, or a dealer installed accessory. The only rear bumpers available for Stylesides were two versions of the contoured rear bumper, painted and chrome.
The bumper is dished inwards (contoured) in the center where the license plate attaches.
Step bumpers were not offered by FoMoCo until 1967. Many aftermarket companies offered step bumpers, there are all sorts of different versions, and my guess is, that's what your truck has.
Dealers would sometimes have their names stamped on the face of step bumpers.
C4TZ-17787-A Right & C4TZ-17788-A Left .. Inner Rear Bumper Brackets.
C4TZ-17795-A Right & C4TZ-17796-A Left .. Outer Rear Bumper Brackets.
The contoured bumpers are the same 1964-1977. The brackets are not the same after 1972.
The brackets have been reproduced, but I don't recall by whom. All the repro parts sellers have the chrome bumper.
Closest repro parts sellers to WA = Blue Oval Truck Parts (Anaheim CA) & The Truck & Car Shop (Orange CA).
NOTE: April 13, 14, 15 2012 = Largest swap meet on the west coast (portlandswapmeet.com) held at the Portland OR Expo Center, just across the bridge adjacent to the Columbia River.
NOTE: FTE member camperspecial65 (Don) lives in the Sea-Tac area, scrounges all the PNW wrecking yards, may have a used bumper. I sent you an email with his contact info.
That has to be the most thorough and complete answer I have ever gotten on a forum. Well done
Too bad you don't know Studebakers. Who says I dont? Do you know what a 56J-K7 or an 8R-7 is? I do.
I've got a bunch of questions there, too.
Ask all the questions you wish.
Do you know Jon Myer (Myers Studebaker Parts-Duncan Falls OH). How about Ed Reynolds (Studebaker International -Greenfield IN).
I've known both of them since grandma was a gal. Both used to live and have their partsbiz' here in LA LA Land (Myer-Culver City/Reynolds-Long Beach).
I have Studebaker parts catalogs, used to buy/sell Studebaker cars/trucks/obsolete parts...because, before I was a Ford partsman, I was a Studebaker partsman, I kid you not.
btw: Here's an example of same-o same-o. Ford: C1AZ-13480-A .. 1940/66 Brake (Stop) Lamp Switch = Same as 666858 = Studebaker & Packard (except 1955/56's with Torsion Bar Suspension).
56J-K7 = 1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk / 8R-7 = 1962/63 V8 Champ 1/2 ton Truck.
NumberDummy , U are the man on these parts ever thought about unretiring moving to Florida come to work with me. LOL How long were you in car business.

Studes were some great cars. I rebuilt a engine in a supercharged version, same guy had the factory SuperCharged 4spd Pickup that used to tow the Avanti race car. Its here in town. Had a bunch of other supercharged studebakers too and a TON of NOS parts including door panels, seat upholstery. Parts for those cars were super cheap NOS. Was the pickup supercharged version called the R-3 or similar?

There was no pickup version offered that I'm aware of. But the whole package could be bought at the part counter. And just like Fords, Studie peeps love to swap parts.
1963/64 R-1, R-2, R-3 and R-4 Avanti's, SuperLarks and SuperHawks I'm aware of. There was at least one R-5 Avanti that Andy Granatelli built.
Granatelli sold STP to Studebaker who also owned Paxton Products, originally named McCullough SuperChargers.
Founded by Robert McCullough, who made his millions selling chain saws. He bought the 'wrong' bridge sight unseen (London, thought it was Tower), had it taken apart, stone by stone, then relocated it to Lake Havasu.
I know the husband/wife who own studebakerparts.com (Phoenix). It's been a coupla years since I've spoken with them, so I don't recall their names.
Husband used to work as a line mechanic for Tanner Motors, the local dealer, that took on Volvo after Studebaker folded the tent in March 1966.
There's another fellow in your area I've know since the 1960's that has owned 100's of Studebakers, don't recall his name either.
Studebaker produced enough parts yearly for ten times the amount of vehicles they actually sold. Parts are still plentiful and cheap. Good thing too, because most Studebaker owners are "low buck" cheapskates.
I recently sold most of the NOS Studebaker parts I had layin' around this menagerie to Robert (gangstakr), who also bought most of my NOS Ford parts.
