1979 Stepside Question

Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket companies that are making the steps for the stepside beds on a 1979 F150?

Need to know if long or short bed. Probably short, not many log beds out there. I don't remember seeing any but I haven't looked for FLAIRSIDE ( stepside is Chevy) bed parts in a long time.

You are correct in that it is a shortbed.

If there are no reproductions, would any of the older or newer years steps work. I was told that the 60's models Flareside rear fenders would work with the 73-79 trucks. Does anyone know if this is true?

I was told that the '57/60's model Flareside rear fenders are the same as the 73-79 trucks.

Does anyone know if this is true?
B7C-16312-A Right & B7C-16313-A Left .. Flareside Rear Fenders = 1957/79 F100/350.

How long are your trucks bedside steps in front of the rear fenders?

Upper pic. Body style 83 is a Flareside.

By several years! But nobody warned me getting old would be so hard. At least I don't have to do Physical work anymore. Except for the Honey-do's. Have a great day!

The long bed steps might be easier to find, most of the 60's era Flaresides had long beds. Might be able to cut them down, I haven't looked a those years to see if they are close to same shape.
