So is there a long bed, short bed, and standard bed or just long and short? The longs are easy to pick out but I've looked at so many online I can't tell if there is a short and regular or if it's just the angle I'm looking at. Thanks
This seems like an easy and safe question, but I'll probably get it wrong regardless. I'm on a real losing streak recently.
I think there are only 2 bed lengths. Long bed and short bed. I tend to call the long bed a "regular" bed. The short bed is actually pretty decent length at nearly 7 feet.
Here's a question: I have a 2000 F350 Supercab with the 8 foot bed. I have been looking for an inexpensive camper shell. I fould one on a '86 F150 that has the 8' bed....What do you think the chances are that it will fit?
The 8' bed part shouldn't be a problem. It might not clear the cab though. I attached 2x6 runners under my last camper to raise it two inches so it would clear the cab.
Thanks for the response. This shell doesn't go over the cab. Is that what you were refering to by clearence? I think I'm going to go take a look at it. Thanks
