Anyone use the ford OEM ramps, the 2 piece extendable black ones?
I had a set of tri-fold harbor fright ramps but they sucked, and not not long enough to load safely.
I need something to load my ATV
I know the tailgate of the new 250’s are a bit higher from the 150’s
I have also used the Harbor Freight Tri-fold and it worked fine for my lowered F-150, but it is just too short for the Superduty at about 5.5' long. I now use a bi-fold similar to the one pictured above that is about 8' long. It works much better for loading/unloading my dirt bikes.
Diamondback sells the ramps they include with their ATV/UTV covers. Real stout and available in lengths up to 11’! I’ve got the 9.5’ version and they make loading a breeze.
I have the 12' long Poisen Spyder ramps or something like that. Very heavy aluminum. They split down the middle into something easier to carry and stack in the truck. About $700 IIRC. My bike was $24,000 so.......
I like the S-curve (S-ramp). It has a unique shape, plastic over aluminum, center folding, spendy tho, but never had an issue and use them to load on lifted truck. The Ford ones look good and sturdy but a bit of mud on the wheels of your toy and I bet they don't slide into each other very well. CargoSmart Hybrid S-Curve Single Loading Ramp | Canadian Tire
I absolutely love them. I have loaded quads, street bikes, commercial mowers and snowmobiles. I tie them down with a ratchet strap so I know they aren't going anyway and they lay flush on the tailgate. There are 3 ramps so you can mix and match as needed or use all 3 for upmost safety.
I've got the Ford Factory ones and they seem to work well for me. I haven't had any issues with them and I like how they lock in to the tailgate so they don't slide around. I keep them inside the bed all locked up and I have them keyed to the truck key so it's always with me.
I have some Werner aluminum ramps. They are nice, very well built, but only maybe 6 feet long. I can fit them in the back seat area at an angle to help mitigate them being stolen. Can be a little sketchy getting the four wheeler in the bed, but I manage, and always wear my helmet.
An issue I have discovered is if you have the tailgate step, the tires can catch on it. I had the plastic cover bent out. I was able to pop it back in place and it is ok (this time) but something to think about.
