parking brake

1960 F100. Can anyone shoot me a picture of a STOCK parking brake lever/handle in a truck? I guess it doesn't have to even be in the truck now that I think about it. My second question is about the cables........From looking online it appears that the rear parking brake cable is the same length on both long and short bed trucks. It appears the difference is made up in the length of the front cable. Am I wrong.......AGAIN

I am not sure about the cable length question. Here are a couple pictures of the brake handle if that is what you are looking for.

Thanks Walston....Just to be sure, your truck is a '60. I have many parts from '56 and 60'. I thought that the '60 might have the same parking brake handle as the '56 and then '61 changed. The '56 has the big metal hand brake and that's what I have. More just hoping than knowing.

Thanks for the information and diagram NumberDummy. I see my metal style in the diagram. It looks like there is also one like in Walstons photo, on that diagram. Perhaps I should just ask if anyone with a sixty has the old fashioned, metal, ratchet style grip or does everyone have the same one as in Walstons photos.

The only parking brake control for 1957/60 F100/250 is the one I posted the pic of.

I blew up the diagram and I can see that the metal one is for P100/350. It's all clear to me now. Thanks for everyone's patience. Matt

Can someone explain where the spring 2788 goes behind the handle. I believe that the round part of the spring is somehow attached to 2786 in one of the “teeth” but can’t find any diagrams. Thanks in advance
