E-Brake Bracket

On my 66 F-100 I have the pull handle e-brake that bolts to the underside of the dash. You pull the handle which pulls the cable and then that is suppose to pull the 2 rear cables to engage the e-brake.

Well the part that joins the 1 cable to the 2 rear cables was just rigged up and I had to remove that to replace the 2 rear cables that were seized.

What parts are needed to join the 3 cables together?

Thanks,
Mike

The cable from under the dash leads to a large spring loaded lever that pivots on the frame (may be on a frame crossmember), there is then a single cable I believe which runs to a small piece which has the single cable in the middle and two cables running off the outside, there is then two little connector pieces wich connect those two cables to the rear brake cables. Kind of hard to explain but I can picture it perfectly in my head....almost. I probably have most of the pieces laying around here.

1966 F100 2WD 129" Wheelbase Styleside Pickup

Front parking brake cable attaches to C5TZ2A605A .. Parking Brake Equalizer Lever.

This lever bolts to C5TZ2631A .. Parking Brake Equalizer Bracket, which bolts to crossmember.

B7A2628A .. E-Brake Threaded Adjustment Rod -attaches to parking brake equalizer lever, then attaches to C3UZ2A602A .. Rear Brake Equalizer.

2) C5TZ2A793A .. Short (14") Parking Brake Cables attach to rear brake equalizer.

2) B7C2790A .. Clip-attaches short parking brake cables to right/left rear brake cables.

Tightening/loosening the adjustment rod, adjusts the whole shebang.

The entire parking brake cable system is illustrated here:

1964/72 Fortwod Truck Parts Catalog / Illustration Section 26, Page 9.

This catalog is available from hipoparts.com on a CD. $22.00 + shipping.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
All these parts are obsolete.

NOS (New Old Stock) genuine Ford parts:

All I could find were the two short brake cables (C5TZ2A793A) and one of the clips (B7C2790A)

Green Sales Co. in Cincinnati OH has them: 800-543-4959
