Does anyone else with the adjustable gas/brake pedals notice that the brake pedal is "higher" than the gas?
Trying to get a comfortable driving position and the gas pedal is perfect but the brake is like 3-4 inches closer. When you adjust forward and back the brake pedal is never parallel to the gas. So when you go to brake you have to pull your foot off the gas, not just slide over.
I'll try and get some pics up but just wondering if the dealer (or me) can adjust the pedals to be parallel to each other.
I just purchased a '17 and the brake pedal noticeably higher when compared to the gas pedal versus my 13' F250. So much so, that I am looking for a solution to this. If anyone comes up with anything before I do please post it here!
I think all vehicles are like that now. The reason is if you cover half brake and throttle at the same time with your big feet by accident your not giving throttle as your braking.
When I made it too close to me it feels excessively close. When I put it all the way to the floor and adjust my seat and steering wheel length it's proper. If you don't know the steering also goes in and out with up and down. Throw the steering lever down then push, pull, raise lower the steering wheel until you get it where you want then flip lever back up to lock the position.
The connection just pulls off, had to use a 9mm open end wrench in the grooves to help pry it out.
Once its disconnected, you can move the gas pedal independently.
So what I did was run both pedals as far back as they could go, unhook the brake and then adjusted the gas where I want. The distance between the two is much more normal now.
I reconnected the brake to make sure I didnt bust anything and they work fine.

Should have been this way from the factory IMHO.
I just did this to my truck and now my pedals have very little travel, is this what happened to yours? Not a big deal since i leave mine fully in but if the wife wants to drive it she likes them closer,
