2016 F150 Lariat with v1.0
Has anyone had luck upgrading directly to 2.3?
I downloaded it to USB and followed all steps/prompts, and ran the update while driving the truck. I was about 2hrs in and still had "updating system software" on the top screen.
I began to wonder if it should really take that long? Online it mentions 60mins.

Thanks!
3.0 was released by Ford so check your Ford owner website profile.
Install from USB went off without a hitch. I went back to the Ford website and low and behold I now have V3.0 available and I get to do it all over again. Wow! Timing IS everything. I wonder if you had to get v2.3 before they even let you install v3.0.
Version 3 is not showing up as available for me on my 2017 Lariat yet.
Well, just went back on the site and it is showing up now. I guess it takes a while to show up on all users profiles. I downloaded it on a thumb drive and will load it when I get off of work.
Hello,
I have a 16 F150 with 2.7 engine. For quite sometime I have complained about rough, shaky just not smooth idle. Dealer of course as I am aware can not adjust idle speed. They even went as far as loaning me a brand new truck off the lot to drive overnight. Frankly the new truck idle was worse.
Anyway why U writing this is I accidentally noticed that an update had occurred to 2.3 sometime? I had also noticed that my engine idle speed is now slightly higher.
When I would speak to dealer who is always awesome I would say if only the idle could be upped slightly all would be fine. My truck now idles quite smooth. Prior it would lay right on the 500 rpm on tach. Now it’s more like the 700 rpm point.
Has anyone else noticed this? Has anyone else felt their truck idkes somewhat rough?
Would love to hear from anyone at FoMoCo if this in fact happened or I am imagining things. I doubt anyone will admit anything.

Wrong area for this posting.
This thread is about the SYNC 3 system which has nothing to do with the 2.7 the engine idle speed or how rough or smooth it`s running. Lol...Yes, I think you`re imagining things if you think a SYNC 3 update had anything to do with the increased engine speed and by the way, version 3.0 is the most up to date version of the SYNC system.
