Ordered a full set of WT window vents and I love them. Except the passenger front...
I managed to chip the original one and the window would not get passed it. Ok. I ordered anothee front set... Operator error.
I installed the replacement and I got it installed. I let it aclimate on a warm day before opening just like they suggest. When I closed window the replacement broke. Same spot...
ugh.
Sorry about your trouble. I have them, no real problems except they do have a 'tick' as the glass hits them on the way up but it seems to be pretty minor.
I have been using the Weathertech window vents for over 10 years... Within the last 3-4 years I have started having issues with them. Everything from them just falling off when the window is rolled down to the window suddenly starts hitting them every time it is going up. I don't keep vehicles long so between my wife and I we have been through quite a few sets. I feel the quality of the product has gone down in the last few years and for the first time I have a truck on order and I have chose to skip the window vents. I have also had the vents installed by a authorized dealer and not also the same one so I am pretty sure its not the way they were installed. The issues we have had usually have occurred after 6-8 months of being on the vehicle. I think the material they are using is reacting to UV a lot quicker than the ones they sold 10 years ago.
That's strange. I installed all four of them on my truck and no issues. I don't open my windows unless absolutely necessary so maybe mine will crack if I ever use the windows.
Maybe it's just me. But I could never get the hang of installing the in channel visors. No matter how long I let them set with closed windows, the smart window would always hit them and return to the open position.
Got sick of that very quickly and went back to the old stick on style. Dozens of trips through the car wash and they've never come off.
