**** got his truck inspected and tagged yesterday and has a job interview this AM. Say a prayer for me.
Once we got his truck done (after the 10 weeks to complete )
I found the my brakes are toasted, radiator has a massive leak amongst a couple of other small thing that are just enough to **** a person off.
It has been like Christmas around my place. New M/C showed up, bullnose style P/V, fan clutch and new fan to accommodate and a 4 core aluminum radiator.
I just need to round up that unicorn of a brake booster I want.
I need to find a fan shroud too.unless I make one. Our Kingdom silver screen star has introduced me to panel Bond. Brian tried to tell me about it but it didn't soak in...
THEN, all I need is a month of bi-weekly week ends off to get it done.
We have moved of to the bodywork/ filler part on TOTs (I dunno, that was what King Jeff dubbed him) T/A.
Which brake booster is that amigo? I am planning on swapping over to a '79 booster, and larger diameter MC... My brakes are more like "Slow Downs", not having real stopping power.. Most farm animals in Baja are fenced out of the fields with crops.. so horses, cows, goats & sheep roam the countryside, unfenced... and I have had 3 cows and several goats commit suicide on my bumper. More brakes would make a difference in the livestock population near me, I'm sure..
I'm going to use the dual diaphragm F350 booster with the FT8 adjustable push rod Ultra has suggested. The dent models are non- adjustable push rod.
I have experienced installing a fix push rod booster and it raised the pedal higher off the floor to where I had to literally pick my leg up to get on the brakes.
Box store told me that's all there was available.
Fortunately for me, Prior Brake Rebuilders is local. They have the booster in stock, and the FT8 push rod will be ready by next Tuesday.
I feel it's right up there in the tricks n tips on another thread, Ultra has a tried and true brake combo, Tomhawk has done a version of it. It is my opinion there is historical data this set up works and I too will follow.
Side note:
A special thanks to HIO for the "read first" stickies. I will be up grading to the fan clutch this rodeo.
The Kingdom really does work.
Thanks amigo, and will save your post to my "Casa Chaos" file, so I can do the search for parts in Baja, and not have to fill a suitcase with parts. I'm having a total knee replacement, over your direction, Nov 15... at the VA hospital in Dallas... Hanging my hat in Fort Worth 'till then...
I too installed a 4 core, all aluminum radiator, off Evilbay, after shipping it to San Diego, and hauling it South in the back of my old F250 diesel... Works just fine, with new thermostat, and 6 blade fan.. Temp stays on 'C' and a little above even on the warmest days in Baja... you are going to love it..
I m anxious to get her back on the road.
I may be dead in the water though. I think I may have torn a rotator cuff. I'll know today. It sure hurts like hell!
uh Oh... if you have to get it operated on, it can take up to a year of painful therapy... I tore mine a year ago, can use it today, but I am very careful with it, and no more push ups for me.. Good luck at the Dr's today..

Bummer on the rotator.
"My body says you can't do that boy, but my pride says Oh Yes You Can"......
Are those fan shrouds for a 300 IL 6 ?? If so, where can I order one??...
Baja
That was for a 360/390 Russ. At DC. No Bump 300 fan shrouds out there that I know of. BTW, only 68/72 Bumps with factory A/C had shrouds. That A/C radiator had a CORE of 26 1/4" X 24 1/4'.
