Ok, I guess I'm confused. Not aware of any catalytic converters on these diesel engines either. Here is what I know to be on the exhaust:

Is it possible you got a code definition for a gasser instead of diesel?

The DOC (Diesel oxidation catalyst) is for all intents and purposes a catalytic converter. Without crawling under my truck, I won't swear to the presence or absence of any O2 sensors, but post turbo, I only recall disconnecting 4 EGT sensors, a DEF injector and a NOx sensor to remove the exhaust system.

if there are no cats, there is something in the exhaust between the turbo and muffler.
i assumed it was a cat.
and i can see the confusion.you are correct, i described my 6.2 engine.
i am going on what was done to this truck when it was 3 months old. the engine shut off and the dealer said it was one of the o2 sensors. only that time they replaced all 4 of them instead of testing each one because it was a friday afternoon on a holiday weekend.
they replaced 4 sensors and we had no other problems with the truck until the CEL came on yesterday afternoon.

Forgot to add, that if one of the egt sensors is going bad, the code usually identifies which one. Those sensors can be had for about $40 online. Pretty easy to replace assuming it hasnt siezed the threads. A lot of penetrating oil and a good soaking usually helps.
EDIT:. Rereading your original post, maybe the code you got is for egt11, the first one post turbo.

Look at the 6.7 goffee table book and see if it shows the O2.
Coffee Table Books
Also might check the OBDII for your year truck and see what it says.
