After months of debate and research, I finally caved in and had a local stereo shop order the components to upgrade the system in my 2017 Lariat Ultimate. I had high hopes for the stock Sony system but found it left a lot to be desired.
After talks with a local DFW stereo shop, I decided to go with the following.
They are also going to install Dynamat in all four doors at the same time. I am looking forward to seeing what results I can get and have faith that the new Kenwood DSP is the way to go. See the link to the video below as it shows the factory integration of the Kenwood amp using the Maestro AR.

Im a big JL Audio fan. I feel like they don't get the respect they deserve. They make some VERY nice speakers at a decent price.
I'm interested in the dynamat. My truck is fairly quiet as is but I feel like adding more insulation can only be a good thing.
I like this idea a lot. Are you running everything off that one amp? Are they going to be able to remove the entire sony setup behind the rear seat (mini-amp and sub)? I read some reviews online saying that people couldn't get it to work with Sync... Hope that isn't the case. Keep us updated on the install!!!

Yes, the amp is a six channel. They will be running the components with the supplied X-overs for the front two channels, two for the back, and bridging the last two together for the sub. The shop said that their Kenwood rep is coming out to help them with the setup and install since it is a new model.

So far I've Dynamated the rear half of the cab. Dynamat isnt really for insulation or noise dampening, its vibration dampening material. It mitigates vibrations in the sheet metal which can rob power and clarity from your speakers. If you want sound dampening (the kind that lessens road noise, outside traffic, etc.) you'll want to look for a mass loaded vinyl product.
OP, looks like you're on your way to a great sounding ride! Let us know how you like it when you get it all installed. That Kenwood amp oddly has a >1.00% THD, which has to be a typo, hopefully its not that noisey. Love those JL's, can't go wrong there!
I added Sound Assassin to my Jeep and it didn't do jack to quiet the noise. Granted it's a Jeep but it was a total waste of time and money.
That's because you're using a product that dampens vibrations, not sound. You needed a MLV or mass loaded vinyl product if you wanted to dampen outside noise.
