It's FRIDAY!!!
My working partner on transmission jobs got a kidney stone yesterday and a truck came in for a transmission update. I may end up having to to pull this one out by myself. I can do it but it just takes a heck of a lot longer. They only let me and Scott do the transmissions now. I am waiting on an open bay so hopefully I can start on it on Monday.

I hope we get out of this rainy pattern soon. Tuned up the mom in laws SUV yesterday after work. I still have to mow her grass and clip the bushes this afternoon after work. We pick her up from the airport Saturday afternoon.

6 weeks from now we will be heading down to Florida for vacation!!! It can't get here soon enough.

Haven't been on FTE in a while... that's probably a good thing as it means no truck problems I can't figure out ! Always amazing to read through the comments and realize I know so much more about these trucks than I did 10 years ago.
Replaced upper & lower Ball joints last week. Beginning to learn I'm not as young as I used to be... but I wrestled my way through it all.
Replacing my front seat covers this week... if new covers last 17 years, I'll be pleased with that, if I'm still around.
Have some other little items I want to replace... but I'm getting that spousal "eye-roll " look about the $$$$ I'm spending on my old truck... lol

back in the new truck. Got pissed and irritated with the hotrod truck. Boss is willing to come out to my shop to help out now, so soon the Ford will be hitting it hard.

oh he knows. I brought my portfolio one day to help get a painter fired. He knows Im extremely good with my hands, and knows I also do not like to paint in a shop environment, and that I really dont want to work old cars for production, and out of respect he does not pester me to work on the classics or paint...

Yes. Painter and I both have same area of study degrees if you can believe that. him and I even talked about partnering and leaving. Hes a felon limited on work areas, completely bull**** life events. Coolest guy Ive know. his degree is slightly different than mine, but him and I can go on and on about business with the legal terms all day. Boss would get lost.

I know, and I dont know how. Maybe I need to work here a little bit longer to prove myself. I mean I have taken alot of fire from some customers and hes avoided them before. Painter has fired someone for him, and Ive been the guy in the back waiting for the beat down to happen because Ill be ***** to wall in the pumble, then they will cover me. Weve been over this. Boss is too nice and hired 2 friends. They shouldnt be there, and the audio guy is cool, but if I have to I will tell him those 2 words. Ive fired friends before, and Ive told many friends to get ****ed or die in a hole alone. I have no problem firing them, because ill put 10 rounds in their head if they feel the need for vengence.

but Im treading water, because the friends are always valued over someone who has been there a year, and someone who is half the owners age....

Im seriously open to ideas. Ive shown the size of my nuts at the shop...
