Whaddup fellers!
We keep chugging along here. We have just a few more stacks of box's to go through, but nobody really wants to any more.
We made it out to a local car show yesterday evening. Friends of our and FTE members brought their monster truck Earthquake out there. It's a small show with a couple of really nice machines there, and also some that you needed a tetanus shot just to look at.
Hope y'all are doing well.

Unk Bob

So Friday night a guy broke down right at my house do to a "fuel line" issue. So me and a buddy helped him get off the road and pulled it up in the edge of my yard. Then my buddy gave him and his GF a ride up to the store. He was supposed to be getting it fixed and out of here yesterday. I told him if he needed to borrow a tool he could, but just said "no thanks". So here it is Sunday afternoon and its still not been worked on, or moved. Then I find out the guy is living in the blazer in my front yard. I've never seen the guy before, but I know his gf and well let's just say she enjoys sniffing stuff. So my guard is already up anyways, but the guy is just camped out in his truck with what appears to be no intentions of fixing the truck. He also keeps walking around and randomly going up in people's yards which just seems fishy to me. I told him today he really needed to try to get it out my yard but he just kinda shrugged it off and went for another walk around the neighborhood. Guess if it isn't home by tomorrow I'll speak with the sheriff department about serving a eviction notice. I really don't want to do that, but the guy seems to not care about getting it fixed, hell even used my phone to call family who came out carted him off to the store and he came back with beer.

Wow that's weird and a little unsettling. I'm not sure I'd just let a stranger camp out in my front yard, broken down or not. I guess getting the sheriff involved tomorrow is the best idea.

Yea I didn't realize he was planning on camping out when I agreed, thought it was just a parking spot for the night until he could get parts.

I thought about calling a wrecker service and having it towed off. However I think incase something happens over hard feelings it would be best the sheriff calls the tow truck. Plus that way it is on record incase the guy tried something later.

I don't think I would wait any longer to call the sheriff on that guy.
If he does not care to move on then I don't care if I call the sheriff.

Last week my wife took my DD 02 Durango in for service so I can pass inspection. It needed 4 tires upper ball joints front brakes (pads/rotors/calipers) and check/clean the rear brakes and state inspection.
They had to order parts and took it in last Friday for the work, spent all day there.

When she got home I met her in the drive and there was smoke pouring out of the front. When I got close I smelled brakes and was coming from the right front. Wife said it was not pulling going down the road or braking but something is wrong!

I took it back in next morning and told them replace the caliper, rotor (blue from heat) and all pads and want a car to drive till fixed. I got a mini van to drive, guess better then walking?

Also had the house garage door opener take a crap. it still goes up & down with the inside button only but when it gets all the way down it pops back up.
Now before you guys say "Dave there are adjustments for this" I have tried every adjustment I can find.
I seams the down limit no longer works and when it hits bottom the safety pops it back up. Even adjusting the force only works where if up all the way it will only move a little down and pop back up.

So guess next weekend I will be buying and replacing the door opener.
It's only money right?

Bob,

Looks like a much nicer way to spend a day than unpacking boxes.

Shawn, that looks like a lot of hot, hard work for a weekend. Looking good,

Larry, What the status on the squatters?

I'm taking a half day tomorrow to go clear out Mary's stuff from the school. Too much to fit in a jeep. I'm a little amazed at how much stuff she buys and keeps for her job.

Cool cars and trucks Bob.

Larry, a few bursts into the air from the bump stock AR around 3am should eliminate your squatter.

Nice work on the shed, Shawn.

Yall have a good week.

very very hot.. felt like it was more like 110* in the shade than the 88 it was because of how still the air was.. Sunday felt like it was a little cooler because of the breeze till the sun got out from behind the trees.. then it started cooking the black tar paper and tiles to oven like heat..

Well the Guy disappeared, the thing is still there but the tags are gone and he wrote on the back glass. Something about he had hollered for his Gf (she stays like a half mile from me) but she hadn't answered and if he stayed in the truck any longer he would die and so on.

So I called the sheriff told them I had a abandoned Vehicle and they told me to call a tow truck and have it towed. So I made that call, but haven't seen a tow truck yet.
