Works for me.....

Looking through my stash of "might need this/these one of the days", I came across these door pulls. If memory serves, 1961 Cadillac. I thought.."That looks like it would just fit"..So here's the finished project. They are illuminated, and work just fine...j..

Looks great! How did you attach it, on the panel or through it and secured to the door's frame?

Attached it to door panel with allen bolts..and large fender washers on the backside. The lense is not on yet..

If they are not attached to the door frame, that door pull is going to put a lot of stress on the plastic door panel.

Could use a larger backer than fender washers if it is found to be needed.

I used about 3" washers. there is no movement when I use the pull..and..since I replaced all the rubber..I have to crack the wind wing to even shut the door. I don't think I'll have any problems.. Many GM cars use pulls of various designs back then..and a pull/strap is just an added feature..at least for me..j..
