water/methanol injection system
I talked to Ernesto at Devils Own yesterday. He suggested that I should probably increase the nozzle size to a # 7, or increase the pump pressure from 200 to 300 lbs. I did both and went for a road test. Big difference in EGT. Pulling a steep grade the temp stops climbing at about 950. This is at 6 lbs of boost under steady pedal pressure. The engine seems to be much more responsive. I can now feel a definite kick in the butt when the turbo kicks in. Hmmmmm... I wonder what a # 9 nozzle would do ?
Very interesting. So, your Devils pump is adjustable? My Snow pump is fixed at 300 psi. The higher pressure is a definite benefit to properly atomize the mixture.
It's good to hear that you're on the right track. Did he clarify their nozzle sizing by chance? I'm curious how much you're actually spraying. Again, the DO7 nozzle on their page says 7 gph on the page header, but 640 ml/min in the description - which is actually 10.14 gph.

The Devils pump is set at 200 psi, and adjustable to 300psi by turning an Allen screw at the top of the pump. He did confirm that a #7 nozzle at 300 psi will put out 10 gph +. As I said earlier, the truck is running fine at this time. I like the EGT numbers that I'm getting, along with the added responsiveness. I thought that I would try a #9 nozzle, but I think that I'm going to quit while I'm ahead. Thanks again to all of you who put in their 2 cents.
