One of the side effects that I picked up since Covid is dry skin. I didn't realize it until I was talking with one of our work vendors a couple days ago and he was talking about the issue with his very dry hands ever since he caught Covid real bad several months back.
I used to have a little dry skin when it got super cold out and dry in the house, but now it seems like it's always dry. Like bad enough that I start a snow flurry of dead skin when I take my undershirt off for bed in the evening
The vendor was told by his doctor that is was because his immune system was still ramped up, which makes sense I suppose. Hope this isn't a long-lasting effect, but who know with the wild side effects this virus seems to have.
I haven't had any of that on this round, but make sure your whole house humidifier is on and working. That will dry you out if it is not working. I had one year that my back was terrible, but I lived in an old house and was using the fireplace a lot. No humidifier at all, even the wood on the floor was shrinking. It was horrible, and itched bad. I had to get a steroid cream to put on it.

We've never had a whole-house humidifier, but we've definitely been talking about getting one the past couple of weeks. When it gets super cold out our humidity meter drops down to 10-20% if I recall. Those humidifiers seem reasonably priced and I plan on getting one, but Jamie and I are having a decision discretion on who needs to install it. I say I can figure it out, she says I don't have time and we need to hire someone. She's not wrong, lol.
" even the wood was shrinking" to quote Curtis---- To me that sounds like a bad thing! I guess i could insert a "that's what she said" as well ha ha ha

What can I say.. it was cold out????
Wood Flooring.. and poor broke me sprayed it with WD40 overnight and things went back to normal. Its all I had.
I was outside most of the day-- our new guy was with me complaining about the cold (day stsarted at 6 drgs F and got to 12) - he had on a hoody and tennis shoes. I offered a brand new pair of bib coveralls- that i haven't even taken the tags off of yet-- as i had an older pair. no gloves either-- "millennials"-- he complained all day! ugh

Yikes, sounds like a long day for both of you, lol. How old is he?
Darn, I was hoping I could pawn the guy off with the Gen Z group. I was hoping that our Millennial age group could finally shrug off the incapable slacker branding, maybe next year!
