They had a new dorian grey movie out a couple years back-- i didn't see it but might want to now. Or might read the book -- I know some but not much about Dorian-- League of extraordinary gentlemen is where i started in on him.-- but not allot.
Our pet turtle Terry died today so our boys had to learn about death and the emotions that come with it. I suppose this is an easier learning experience compared to losing a loved one, but it still stinks to see them work through their grief.
Sorry to hear that, I hope they are able to understand, and make peace with it over time. We went through the same thing with our dog, and a couple of baby turtles. They still mourn over the dog a little bit.
Yeah we had hamsters- fish - and now a cat-- Kitty is still with us--- Losing a pet is a good way to start-- Later its grandparents parents and friends. Sorry for their loss
My first experience was the loss of my neighbor that we thought of as family, and I was quite young. After that, it was almost non-stop funerals, but the hardest was probably my dad, and the next hardest was my classmate/best friend at the time (from cancer in 7th grade)
Thank you for the kind words, the family has been taking it pretty well and we're still talking about how cool of a pet he was. Jamie ordered in a special ornament to remember him by too and Corbin couldn't get it on the tree fast enough
I lost my 16 y\o cousin to a semi collision accident just south of Linn when I was 15. If you take K15 up north then you'll see his memorial on that I helped put in on the south of the road, it's a big yellow cross to match his yellow 76' K10 that he drove in high school.
That really set the pace for loss with me when I was younger, probably took me the better part of a decade to get "over" it. I still get to see him in my dreams about once a year, which is nice
I don’t know if we ever get over it. We just learn to live because we usually don’t have a choice.
Agreed. I still miss all my family and friends that have been lost over the years, but as time goes on it's more of a smile of remembrance instead of a frown of anguish.
