My Aunt (Dad's sister) passed away last night. She's been ready to go for a long time. Some time around my father's death, she slipped on the ice and hit her head on the driveway. She had brain bleed and lots of other issues. She's only been about 20% capacity since. That's a long time to hang on for no kind of future. She passed away on her and my uncle's anniversary which is kind of neat.
A former colleague passed away last week. She was about 10 years younger than me and had cancer. I didn’t know she was ill and hadn’t seen her for a couple of years because she had moved out of town. She was a good person.
Sorry for your loss Del.
I just learned that Don Duncan allegedly died. He was crotchety old fella, but he was entertaining. He had about 7 different versions of 32 Fords in his garage in different stages of repair. He had a couple that were near Museum ready and a rat rod and pickup, etc...
His house is for sale with his shop that he had all of that stuff in. I admit I hadn't been by for a while to see him, but I thought he would be one of those fellas that just lived forever.
Well-- I got up so I am still not dead :-) Had a shot in the eye and can't see worth a darn this morning. (which is normal after a shot in the eye) but the new meds are doing great.
