Darn, I was hoping I could pawn the guy off with the Gen Z group. I was hoping that our Millennial age group could finally shrug off the incapable slacker branding, maybe next year!
no way I have met allot of melenials or gen z or whatever- some are ok but man there is allot that are just lacking in common sense.
Death bites! My aunt died last Friday at 95. She had been declining the last while but was still living at home. She caught COVID. On Thursday my cousin’s son died of a massive heart attack. He was in his mid 40s.
Thanks guys. My aunt’s death wasn’t unexpected. The cousin’s son was, although he had heart issues his whole life but thought it was taken care of.
Hits home and scares me a bit about your cousin's son (my condolences also ) because my heart issues have been cropping up more lately and it scares me for the future. I've had an undiagnosed heart issues since I was a teen (could tell something wasn't right, but didn't concern me enough to go to the doctor) but then I had an ER visit last fall due to a racing, erratic heartbeat that woke me up at 3 AM and never let up. My heart rate was 200 bpm when they admitted me at the walk in clinic and immediately sent me to the ER. They sent me to a cardiologist in Salina who diagnosed me with atrial fibrillation which he said is very odd for someone my age. He wasn't concerned though and told me to take baby aspirin to prevent a stroke and sent me on my way. It still bugs me that my heart doesn't beat correctly and can easily send me into another heart episode when I have slightly more caffeine than usual or drink any hard alcohol at all. My visit burned through most of health account so I was putting off seeing another cardiologist (heard similar issues with the Salina doc and not being helpful) until it gets replenished in August, but I worry that I will wake up to a heart attack one of these days. At least my bloodwork came back excellent and I otherwise appear to be healthy, that's the only nice thing I can hang my hat on after all of that. Long story short, I've been thinking about death a lot more on a personal basis every since and it's pretty sombering.
I would be a science experiment for what too much caffeine does to a person, to me its the nectar of the gods. It keeps my blood pumping. I once in a great while had those weird heart things you described Justin, but mine were just momentary, and I haven't had one for a very long time. I think mine was more stress related.
Justin, don’t mess around with ticker issues. If you need another opinion get it. I’m impressed with Doctor Hurtig here in Manhattan and I could check to see who my daughter goes to. I see Dr. Thapa and think she is good too.

I think stress plays a factor in mine too, but I can usually keep that at bay MOST of the time. Enjoy the caffeine for me, I'll live vicariously through you and your energy-filled enjoyment

I for sure keep a sharp eye on it now and plan to get it looked into deeper this year. Just another lovely balance of keeping what I enjoy within reasonable amounts, just like food
Not dea yet!! Whoo hoo! This year has been rough though-- 3 strokes a popped eye- and some family not doing well at all-- but hey still have a sense of humor!!! :-) Sorry to hear what others are going through :-( You all know doctors don't know muxh- because they are still in practice :-)
I think doctors stopped being doctors a while back. They are just insurance company service providers now. Bought and controlled by insurance companies. At least for all of us regular folks.
