Thought I was going to die at the zoo- allot of walking and chasing of 9 year olds-- I was trying to fall asleep on the way home. Boxing with the sleep monster-- stopped 1/2 way and bought the girls icecream and had a couple cups of coffee. I slept 6 hours straight.
That heat is probably what wore you out, not so much the walking. We are going to be doing a lot of walking tomorrow at Silver Dollar City. I packed my comfortable walking shoes. and shorts, because its going to be hot and steamy there on the blacktop..
The crowd wasn't terrible. we rode a lot of water rides, and that helped. I left the park soaked to the bone. The heat didn't bother me too much, we tried to stay in the shade most of the day, but it was fairly warm. We got lucky, I think it only got in the mid 80s for the day.
