I thought we determined long ago that you had a 351W. If you have the block with the ridge, but still have 8 valve cover bolts, then you have a Clevor. That's a 351W with Cleveland/Modified heads, which is very unlikely. Just post up a pic.

second guessed myself after a couple 351 gaskets were wrong and 302 gaskets were right.

All windsor family motors(289, 302, 351) use the same head gaskets, so the best explanation is that those "351 gaskets" were for a 335 series engine.. 351/400m.

Well if you really want confusion, Ford built 4 different 351 engines over the years. Windsor, Cleveland, Modified and the older FE series 352 which also had the same bore/stroke as the 351's
