Hey all!
I was hoping that someone here might be able to tell me what kind of engine that I have. I bought a 65 F250 last year and got a pretty good deal on it. the dealer that I bought it from had no idea what kinda engine was in it and being pretty ignorant at the time didnt either. I have done tons of research on these trucks and am confident that I can really start working on it without getting myself into too much trouble. I found this number on the engine 13726548 and what looks like 8K80 (???) on the back.
I have been told by some that its a 351m and some that its a 302. Any thoughts? Thanks for everyones help.
Ben

That's either a 351M or 400. It has the raised deck, t-stat in the block, 2V manifold, 8 bolt valve covers, etc. 8K80 would be the casting date Oct 8, 1980. 13726548 is the firing order.
