I know it's not good for older rotary pump type injection due to the isopropyl alcohol removes the lubrication for the mechanical pump, but modern electronic diesel injection there's no issue. Sea foam has been around since the 1940s and is awesome stuff and a very trusted brand. What they say on the can is 100% accurate.

Modern common rail diesels are sensitive to what is in the fuel. Remove a significant amount of lubricity, get water past the separator, insert any other fuel-related issue.... and it's easy to damage the high pressure fuel pump, injectors, and more. Repairs get very costly.
Owner's manuals for the Big 3 don't even necessitate the use of fuel additives, but if you do, Ford/Ram/GM are VERY specific about what to use. Ford insists on using PM22 or equivalent, which is basically a lubricity agent along with cetane boost. Anything else (high alcohol content, anything to do with cleaning agents or anything to do with emulsifying/demulsifying water) stay far far away from. They make these recommendations because they know that damage can occur from using the wrong types of additives.
