How Much Additive do you use?
I have an 02 Excursion with the 44 gal tank. I have had a problem annually with it since i bought it. The dealer has replaced the fuel pump twice. I am not sure if it was maybe just Gelling up and they needed to claim something on the warranty. Just the other day it happened again. Single digits out and it died on the highway after running it around town for a couple of hours. I was on the highway at about 2 degrees for about an hour. Started bogging and ultimately died. I usually go by the measurments on the side of the bottle. I use the power service stuff. Tomorrow i am fixing to change the fuel filter and use the 911 stuff from power service. Any advice would be great.

Temps that cold I use Power Service white bottle. I normally add it over the grey bottle when I need it. I run grey bottle year round, by the directions in summer and X2 for winter blended fuel.

To the best of my knowledge, only the white bottle, the Diesel Suppliment, has the anti-gel additives. The gray bottle, Diesel Kleen, does not, it is a cetane boost and injector lubricant only. I usually just add what the bottle recommends which I believe is 4 ounces per 25 gallons. Sometimes I put in a little more like 4 ounces to 18 gallons.
