I would say it cannot sit for to long, most deisel people say to get your fuel from a station that sells large amounts so you get quailty fuel. Now I have never stored large amounts of fuel but I would say if you are going to I would add a gallon of the power service for every 200 gallons stored. At least it will not gell up on you and you will still be able to pump it out when you want to.

Purchase and additive for gelling and algae buildup, I personally would not use fuel that is sitting long.

i have a furnace in house, and have a reserve fuel tank that i filed fo the house 22 years ago when their was no die, i use the main tank for heat, but mainly run a wood stove. they are 300 galons each, i decided to use up the reserve tank because the tank is getting prety rusty, it has no additives in it, i been using it in my truck, it running good, ehrn i use it in my truck i use power service diesel kleen, their is only about 50 galons left in tank. having no problems with truck. but when i fill the 300 gal tank for house again it will be read fuel. if diesel fuel goen bad, how come this old stuff is fine???
