Welcome to the forum! I like your truck neoniacin, I just got one similar to it. I hope you enjoy it
I am! I love working on it.
Today I got the rotors changed. Apparently there are 2 different size rotors for a '81 F-100. 12" and 10". At least that is what I was told by the parts store. Guess who got the wrong size rotors and pads! I have the smaller rotors and pads.
You would think that would be the last of my brake issues. Fear not! Old Blue doesn't mind throwing another trip to the parts store. Driver side had the caliper seize on me.
Haha! I made way too many trips to the parts store.
Make it simple on yourself, Install a mailbox in front of the parts store and get two thing done at once!
Pick up daily parts and pick up your mail, all in 1 stop!

Next up fuel lines and steering column.
I have not seen the 2 different sizes 12" & 10" rotors.
I have found they do make 2 different rotors but it is the wheel bolt pattern that is different and it has to do with power and non-power brakes.
How do I know this you ask? I have 2-81 F100 trucks and you guessed it 1 is power the other is not power.
This also makes the spindles different and king pins different too.

The first set I was given was much too large and the spindle wasn't far enough out. Now that I think about it the guy never asked if it was power brakes or not.

I just rechecked AZ site and they only list 1 rotor for my 81 F100 and I know there are 2 different rotors.
BTW both of my trucks are 4700 lbs and 300 six.
Now both trucks use the same pads & calipers so my thinking he gave you the wrong parts.
IIRC when checking last year the 250 used the same pads & caliper unless it had duel piston calipers. Rotors would be different because of the wheel bolt pattern.

EOTZ-1102-A .. Hub & Rotor Assy - Use with Power Brakes & 4600/4700 lbs. GVWR's.
1980/83 F100.
---------------- E6TZ-1102-A .. Hub & Rotor Assy - Use with Manual Brakes (F100) - Use with Power Brakes with 5000/5100 lbs. GVWR's (F100) & F150 2WD all GVWR's.

So you show the break down between power/non-power by the GVWR's.
Both my trucks are 4700 GVWR and both are F100's
Flare side non-power, Style side long bed power.
I guess when new they were hard to get parts for also

So I'm thinking about replacing the wheels and tires. Tread is getting pretty worn. Also some cracking along the wheel. I don't like the wheels that are on it now. Lugnuts are hard to put on as well.
What size wheels/tires does everyone recommend? Currently it has 235/75/R15 of different brands.
Oh and I wanted to share the rotor on the driver side. How would the flattening happen? Just curious...
