I have a 2006 F350 6.0L. That is Having trouble starting after it is warmed up. Ive been told multiple things it could be but the one ive been told the most is the Stand pipe or dummy plug in the oil rail having a small leak. Is this correct? or is there something else i need to Check??
ideally, having a monitor of some type to view a few engine parameters would help you to be more sure that it's indeed standpipes, dummies, or STC ^^^. you'd be looking at the ICP and IPR values to start off with... but yeah, you're probably on the right path!
Not likely the HPOP on a later build.
One thing that seems to be skimmed over here often are the nipple cups/o-rings and top injector seals.
Not as common but a leak point nonetheless that does go bad, which is why at the end of the day nine times out of ten you have to air test.
